“Via del Soul ,Duo”in concerto

Giugno 12th, 2008

“Daniel Goodman”in concerto!

Maggio 21st, 2008

Domenica 25 maggio

alle ore 21.00 circa

Daniel graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, with a focus on Jazz Performance. Strongly influenced by guitarists Jim Hall and Grant Green,he has also paid close attention to the noted virtuoso instrumentalists Bud Powell, Miles Davis and Sonny Rollins. Daniel has performed in various jazz groups in both the New York City and Boston metropolitan areas. Eventually he returned to his first love, traditional American folk music. His writing style comes from many diverse sources, including the earlier ballads of Stephen Foster as well as the traditional music of the Appalachian region. The revival of folk music in the 1940’s through the 1960’s has had a profound effect on Daniel’s music and lyrics, including Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and, of course, Bob Dylan. Daniel’s lyrics have also been strongly influenced by the works of Nick Drake, Jim Croce, Neil Young,Patti Smith, Jackson C. Frank,Joni Mitchell,John Sebastian,Lou Reed as well as The Beatles and the Rolling Stones. The musical legacies of Blind Willie McTell,Son House,Leadbelly,Dock Boggs,Bascom Lamar Lunsford,Lemon Jefferson and Blind Willie Johnson have also contributed greatly to the context of both his music and lyrics.

“” WILL HOGE “”in concerto !!!!

Maggio 15th, 2008

giovedì 29 maggio

la cricca del Public House 27

è fierissima di presentare

Decades ago, before the first rock and roll idols turned music into a product, musicians played music the way cobblers mended shoes and carpenters built homes. It was a trade like any other job and men did it for work, for wage. Young men would pack their station wagons with gear and travel from city to city to play their songs. For these musicians, it was not only all they wanted to do but all they could do. They were not in search of fame or fortune. It was simply a life in music.

Welcome to the world of Will Hoge

“Mind Warp”

Aprile 9th, 2008

Giovedì

17 aprile alle ore 10.30 pm

The Duo was formed by Alexander Ernst (ex-frontman “Freedom of Mind”, “Gardenia” and “Sog” from Berlin) and Francesco Lenzi (ex-guitarist “Full Circle” and many other side-projects…) in May 2007. The MINDWARP-project led the 2 musicians to work mainly on acoustic cover-versions, selecting them from the huge “Rock-Music” of the last decades. Of course, on doing this they decided to respect some restrictive criterias, focussing their attention especially to artists, coming from “Indie-Alternative-Folk-Rock”. The Duo then worked on Psychedelic stuff of 60’s and 70’s, and re-covered some “Grunge-Stoner” track of the 90’s, including more and more the electric guitar on their shows. ’Both musicians love deeply the “open” and “progressive” structure of a song and the chance to perform it differently, expressing their experimental mood with medleys and jam sessions, in order to look at it from of a new angle…’ At the end of August 2007 the guys recorded their first promo cd as MINDWARP: “SEARCHING FOR MORE LIGHT”. The intense acoustic dimension of a MINDWARP concert proceed at the same rate as a more electric, dynamic and powerful performance, properly Rock! The guys are now working on their own fucking stuff…
